Isnt the mc101 a class compliant soundcard for the ipad?

A thought occurred to me as I started watching this video that maybe you know the answer to. The price for the fabfilter products offered for ipad is a fraction of the cost of the same things for ma os and windows. Are the ios apps paired down versions in any way?

I love this synth for how good it sounds but it’s so very fiddly, it would really be nice if we could zoom in or something. I use a pen, maybe a mouse would solve that. By the way you forgot the arp =) Moo!

You convinced me, i bought this synthesizer and was surprised at the big discount on a bundle with a lot of FabFilter Pro, so i bought it too. In fact, i only had a few of the most necessary ones, but now i have the entire line of plugins from this company. Sounding like in moog!

Such a great overview. I had tried Twin 3, but was also unhappy with the touch controls. Your rant resonates xD. 🐘🧹 (The overall description of a synth rewarding exploration in sound design, and not defaulting to normaled connections, reminds me of why I’ve been so happy in Bitwig land. Great video. The cherry on top, for me, with Fabfilter plugins is that they round-trip from Logic Pro on iPad to Mac and back again. So if I make a patch in Twin 3 on the iPad and then airdrop that to my Mac, that patch opens exactly as I left it on the iPad. Very few devs have managed (or cared ) to get that working and it's just so nice to have all the settings open up properly. Big up for Fabfilter!

you can use an ipad pro with the magic keyboard, that has a lovely touchpad expensive, but works great apple isn't cheap no need for a mouse and being rude go and give the developer some feedback instead cheers

I like the circuit bender pack. I just gave it a quick listen on ipad speakers but there’s some cool tones in there, good work!

The new one with the tunderbolt 4 port and if you get the Tb or higher storage you get double the ram too. I't the price of a macbook though.

I purchased a pair of thunderbolt extension cables off of Amazon and for some reason my USB C flash drive wasnt working. I was about to return, but found this video and all of a sudden everything was working. You're a lifesaver!

Another alternative for people who like to delve in much deeper is magic music visuals BTW. But Mac and Windows only.

On pc just use spout to send out video to obs and record there

Been messing with the presets that come with it and are amazing, but the fact that you can really go deep in creating your own, modulate your modulation, tweak every aspect within the app is just crazy/insane!!! This is favorite delay, by far!!!

do you know where the component file is for the AU in Logic Pro since it says it has AU support but it isn't showing up and i can't find the component file since it's from the appstore

how are you supposed to arrange these tracks for finalizing your song? I can't find a video anywhere explaining how to use this app for finishing this song like there's tons of videos of people showing us how to play it yeah OK we know how to play on the thing, but how do you move this song off of this app to finish it or at least hear the entire song all the way through I'm very frustrated with this. hm, you said you had another video about this rhymdesomething fx? at least you should have said a few words here about what it does, because i don’t know it. so this is maybe not your best video, but there’s also nothing wrong with it. i‘ll just have a look for rhymde… video, because if the fx is good, i probably will have to buy it. it’s only 6€, so what? only a few years ago apps had to be for free or 10€ were the absoulute max, if it was a really amazing piece of software. now at least my way of thinking changed to, if something costs as much as two beers and keeps me entertained for as long as two beers do, i‘ll just buy i no problems… well, my problem only is, that i pressure myself to also use, what i paid for. only that in a lot of cases i don’t even remember, what the app, that i bought, is actually doing. but who cares, at least i have it, in case i want to use it sometimes.. which i won’t, because i forgot about it’s amazing features completely. but i am loosing track… at least buying apps is probably a lot healthier, than spending the same money for beers… well, i guess, i do both! 😅 aside from all that, i would be interested in, what is your concept about the obviously limited storage space on the ipad? i bought an 64gig ipad last year, which probably is a bit too much on the small side, but how do you handle large sample libraries or 25min long recordings on your devices? of course you can plug in all kind of devices into an ipad nowadays, but if i need to wire up, i rather do that to a desktop computer. with the ipad i want to be mobile and wireless. i only plug in my phones because of latency issues of bluetooth audio. so what is a good solution to work with memory intensive audiofiles wirelessly, without cluttering the ipad memory unnecessarily? probably you had a video about this and i missed it, but otherwise this would be something to share your experience with us.

People who have money either want to show that they have it, or just feel like they have it. It becomes less about how it actually sounds. And once they spend that money, you can guarantee they are going to take the opinion that the gear they bought makes sounds that can't be reproduced by something cheap. It's not a greed thing or an ego thing necessarily. People lose track and it becomes more about the tool than the work to be done.

Do you think the ipad is now at a place where getting one and these synths is like having a hardware synth, with a flat screen. I already have a few hardware synths and was planning on getting an iridium, which is basically a vst with some hardware control. I figure the ipad touch screen is good enough for changing parameters on the fly. And one can continue to get new synths for it. Whereas something like the iridium will get no new features or bug fixes once it is discontinued. Are some of these synths multitimbral or can you setup something like a multitimbral setup?

Jakob, We need a full master class on iPad Logic. Apple should hire and pay you well. All the other people posting videos here seem to be complete noobs. I mean like they have never used a DAW of any kind and are not creative musicians.
